The Healing Method
We believe there is a better way to heal...to expedite the process using fewer treatments with lasting results.
Merging Eastern and Western modalities, we return athletes to competition, get performers back on stage, and help people from all walks of life overcome pain and dysfunction.
Our approach is to correct alignment and (less than optimal) movement patterns that lead to pain and injury. We reeducate the muscles to prevent compensations from forming and injuries from developing and reoccurring. Our mission is not just to correct, but also to eliminate reoccurrence of dysfunction and injury all together.
We combine biomechanics with Traditional Chinese Medicine to address musculoskeletal issues with a series of muscle tests and activation exercises. We use holistic healing methods to alleviate the underlying causes through the use of acupuncture (electro-stimulation, trigger & motor point therapy), moxibustion, cupping, herbs, and Eastern nutrition. We realign the joints without aggressive manipulation rather with gentle ease and guidance through the muscles and fascia.
We have had particular success treating patients with frozen shoulder, shin splints, plantar fasciitis, rotator cuff injuries, muscle strains/joint sprains, repetitive stress syndrome, tendonitis (e.g. carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis & golfer’s elbow, runner’s knee), arthritis (of the knee, hip, shoulder, neck, back). Pinched nerves of the spine (e.g. sciatica, cervicalgia a.k.a. “crick in neck”), muscle spasms, and muscle soreness from exercise or lack of movement.
We also offer exercise prescriptions specific to patients’s needs and lifestyle with the option to progress to a custom-tailored fitness program.
